Dmitriy Sabekiya better known as Intelligent Manners, - drum and bass producer and dj hailing from Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
Dima first listened to drum and bass in the early 1996, being a child, so this music didn't leave him indifferent and predetermined his further development as the musician.
He made his first attempts of producing music in 2002. Influenced by African-American music, from jazz to hip-hop from which he took all of the most live and bright features, he started to create first tunes and spend all the free time improving his own sound and searching for sources of inspirations.
In 2007 Dima's live attention to drum and bass culture development, as well as the continuous improvement of his musical skills yielded the first results — Intelligent Manners' music begins to sound on various drum and bass shows on radio stations worldwide. Same year his first tunes were released on Respect, and later on Liquid Brilliants Records.
Dima didn't stop there, continued improving his sounds, and soon released his vinyl singles on respected labels such as Allsorts/Grid, Fokuz, Nexgen, Have-A-Break and Celsius. He quickly gained support from influential people of drum and bass scene like LTJ Bukem, Fabio & Grooverider, Marky, Danny Wheeler, Bailey, EZ-Rollers, Crissy Criss and others.
Each tune by Intelligent Manners is the result of magnificent musical taste and imagination, a splash of rich internal emotions and beautiful melodies filled with a sweet vocal and soul, funky and jazzy samples. All of this leads to remember Dima's tunes the first time you hear them and later to listen to them again and again.
Over time Dima ceased to limit himself to drum and bass. He started producing down tempo and hip-hop tunes. As the result you can now hear hip-hop mixtape "Lush Beats", recorded with the scratch champion Chinmachine not so long ago. Dima's collaborations with Alexey Command Strange are worth mentioning, too, as they were repeatedly supported by LTJ Bukem, Fabio & Grooverider.
Now Fokuz Recordings prepares the debut album by Intelligent Manners - "The Movement" LP, it's planned for October 1st, 2012. Such producers as Enei, Command Strange and Nuage and vocalists Iriann Joyce and Pouyah took part in it. Releases on Good Looking, Fokuz, Celsius, Expressions, Antillectual Beats and some other labels are coming soon.
Recognition of drum and bass lovers testifies to high level of talent of this artist, and it gives the full right not to doubt that Intelligent Manners will continue to win the new musical spaces.
