@Meturi: Oooh man, interference!
@Mark Solitaire: Thanks man. I had the instrumental almost completed, before i tried adding Kemos Vocal.. so calling this a Remix might be a little off but i didn't want to piss anyone off by using the vocal without clarifying it's source.
@Nerd Revolt: Hey there! Some time has passed, since our last words and a lot has changed for me. I am currently working with a rapper / spoken word artist and i finally got my girlfriend to record some vocals. I am about to produce a whole album for the rapper and working with him is a blessing. Plus i just recently finally bought a Virus Ti Desktop. I am so in love with this piece of electronic :) The sounds.. just incredible. I Still have some trouble with the Virus Control software, sometimes it seems to like crashing my Cubase which pretty much sucks. Anyways.. Virus rocks. I've seen your Studio Diaries and you guys seem to be pretty much "in the zone" all the time ;) Very concentrated work. I like that. Do you have your eyes set on a label or will this be a Diy thing? Wish you guys all the best. Cheers
@wanglinglingaa: now that's what i call good marketing. advertising some industrial mining / crushing or whatever shit via soundcloud spam comments. nice one.
@Nerd Revolt: I've just finished a session with an old friend of mine. Still amazing to see, what two heads are capable of doing instead of just one ;)
I should have made myself a little more clear on the "feeling limited working with vst" thing.
I try not to see the absolution in a hardware synth and i know that some vst's are able to produce quite amazing sounds. But there are two things bugging me about working only inside the box. The first thing would be that i have way too much options. Too many synths, presets and samples to choose from. I recently sold my Mpc 2000xl beause working with it started to become kind of a pain in the ass ;) BUT Being so limited to just some sample cutting, sequencing and a lowpass filter war very helpful because i focused more on the music itself, rather than tweaking this and that till infinity. The second thing would be that using a midi controller feels a bit like using a remote control. I turn this knob here and the response comes from over there. If i turn it here, i want to feel response here. Do you know what i mean? I't propably a pretty vague thing but controlling a synth via midi controller feels too distant.
Anyway.. having someone else in my "studio" was real fun.
Cheers!
Great jouney that this track makes.You both can be glad you've met each other. It must be amazing to find a like minded producer for collaborations and sessions.I really like the small percussive elements and you guys really make me want to buy that darn virus. Working only with vst plugins feels very limiting sometimes.. anyways. Nice track and a nice project overall, i really enjoyed Nerds with attitude as well. cheers
@Monomer: Yes, most of the visuals are quite basic and minimal.
I saw him at a lecture some time ago.. he uses VVVV and Max msp to program his Visuals. I didn't understand a thing but i sure liked it! I really recomennd you to check out the video he has done for skamotos and alva notos berlin.. pure genius!
The Pitchbend works great in combination with the bit reduction. Nice groove you got there. I'm currently only listening on Laptop speakers, so there's not much i can say about the sound. Check your Doa messages
Judging by the snips i can say that this will propably be my favourite Bonobo album.
Although i always thought dial m for monkey was kind of... untouchable.
I am looking forward to endless hours in the park with friendly people, beer and this lp!
this must have been one of the best drum and bass tunes for those "in between something" situations.
i have 5 people waiting for me outside but i can't stop listening.
so it's huge thank you from me and an at least equally huge "screw you guys for making such a catchy tune" from them as well.
i am very impressed man.. great job so far! the only current idea floating in my head would be to filter the percussive white noise to create some "quieter" parts. looking forward to the final version!
Wahnsinnsding!
Burial-Ish.. nice!
@Meturi: Oooh man, interference!

Cheers.
@Meturi: Jo! War glaub ich mal Kölner.. mitlerweile in New York unterwegs. :)

Nice one. Only heard this in the mix so far. Very clever use of the 808s.Too bad i only read about the mix when it was already done.

Woah. Very nice. Congrats on your yellow lanes release by the way.
@mr. whitla: Thanks mate! I wanted to give Kemo the room he deserves :)
Now thats a nice groove you got here :)
@antistatikk: Oh and hopefully you'll find a new studio space.
Wow, this is just lovely. Thank you for sharing all those sounds with us.

@antistatikk: Achja.. Dnb Cologne? Kölner?
Knallt gut!
Cooles Ding.
Wahnsinnsbeat. Pumpt selten gut.
This one will propably be my favourite. I'm so glad artists and labels finally offer a wider range of styles and tempos.
@luthatron: Thanks mister sealman
@Kravening: Imagine this at the next Rave 'eh? :) Thanks!

Groovy!
Preverb!
lovely mix. Just great for the winter days. have you ever seen the visuals done by karl kliem for the songs by sakamoto and alva noto?
love how the vocals come in. Just bought the album. This will get me through the cold season :)
Thanks for this set! I really enjoyed it.
Judging by the snips i can say that this will propably be my favourite Bonobo album.

Yes,yes,yes...Yes!
@Brian Brainstorm: Korrekt!Danke!

I'd really like to know, how you placed those brush stroke rolls.. was it a one shot and you placed each and everyone individually?cheers

Ha!
