The first single from the forthcoming album from the internationally renowned Melbourne band features guest vocals from Australian legend Tim Rogers of You am I.

With it’s infectious, bluesy feel and snaking guitar groove “I Got Burned” is a big step up for The Bamboos. When you add Tim Rogers’ singing in a way you’ve never heard him before, the result is a revelation.

The Bamboos new album ‘Medicine Man’ will be out mid year and will feature a whole host of notable international and local vocalists. The calibre of these guests is testament to the immense respect garnered by bandleader and songwriter, Lance Ferguson.

Keep an eye out for an amazing video for “I Got Burned” featuring Lance & Tim, directed by Kess Broekman-Dattner, who has made acclaimed videos for the likes of Clare Bowditch & Pez.

The Bamboos featuring Tim Rogers “I Got Burned” will be available digitally on March 16th

I heard this song for the first time at mossvale festival just recently, and i agree with everyone that Tim Rogers does a great job but i reckon he's got nothing on the lady (not sure what her name is) who sings in the band full time. She OWNS this song! And having listened to the studio and live versions i can say that this is a rare bonified instance where the live version simply defecates all over the studio version. Which is no bad thing, it just means the band is 'real' in every sense of the word!

Very nice work guys. Always love the Bamboos groove, and with the addition Tim's vocals this is something special. Second time you've surprised me in the last little while Mr Rogers - first time was at your acoustic gig at PurePop St Kilda last year. What a great night that was. Actually third time if I include your stints with the RockDogs but that is a very different story...
