The first way back,
A stray black cat
Climbs in and out of the streets I know,
But there's still an orange glow.

I get to the house,
All the lights are out.
I hope somebody's in because
I don't wanna be locked out, and then I am.

My family's out.
Then it's just typical because when I phone them up,
Nobody answers.
Just voicemail.

So I phone my friend,
To tell him I'll be back at the community centre again!

But...
I'm locked out again,
They know I haven't got a key,
So I'm going back to Embassy.
It happens a lot,
But this time it's not my fault.
This time, it's not my fault.

The second way there,
I get a vacant stare
From a couple of yobs who are
Confused by my little yellow guitar.

I hurry past a couple of friendly drunks,
Who shout to each other that they think,
I'm lost,
Well I'm not.

While I'm hurrying there,
I feel so angry that,
I've got to walk all that way back.

Oh well,
The joke is on them,
Because I get to spend another hour or so,
With my friends.

I'm locked out again,
They know I haven't got a key,
So I'm going back to Embassy.
I have a feeling they'll blame it on me,
Because it always is.
But this time, it's not my fault.

I wouldn't have minded but then they phoned me,
And I, was really tired and had only just reached Embassy,
For the second,
Time today.
Oh, they finally call me to tell me my brother was in after all,
Just typical,
Just typical.

It's now the third way back,
My spirit is completely flat,
Well if it wasn't before,
It definitely is now.

This all takes the mick,
I found out it was of course all my fault,
Oh how, could I have been so thick?

I was locked out that night,
I walked home then back then home again.
I was, messed about quite a lot.
I only wish they hadn't forgot,
I have no keys.
Believe me it was never my fault.
