About

Gabriel Wizard (House, Electro House, EDM)

Gabriel is a Brazilian born DJ/ Producer and label owner based out of NYC.

Moving from Brazil to the south Bronx at a young age Gabriel's first influences naturally came from Brazilian music and early Hip-Hop. In his family's goal to become more familiar with American culture, he was also exposed to 70s and 80s rock and pop like Jimi Hendrix, Prince, U2 and many other musical legends. So Gabriel's taste in music has always been extremely eclectic and you can still hear it in his sound today.

"In my mind I don't really see any boundaries when it comes to music. Im influenced by all genres and decades and just whatever inspires me at the moment... That's the beauty of music. It can bring us all together to have a good time even if we don't come from the same place or speak the same language... Its about capturing a feeling." - Gabriel

When Gabriel first discovered he had a true passion for music, he obtained his first pair of turntables and never looked back. In 2001, as Gabriel's popularity as a DJ grew, he began playing at legendary NYC nightclubs like Club Exit 2 with DJs like dance music pioneer Paul Oakenfold headlining on the main floor. Since then Gabriel has traveled the country and also performed alongside or opened for coveted house producers like Oscar G, and Robbie Rivera just to name a few.

However, as just a DJ, Gabriel felt limited in his artistic expression. His early productions began with him taking popular songs that weren't necessarily dance music and turning them into electronic anthems. All of his first remixes were embraced by blogs and listeners all across the world wide web.

World famous Brazilian dance producer Marcos Carnaval took a liking to some of Gabriel's early work and decided to do a collaboration with him in 2011. Gabriel and Marcos got together and did a collaboration called "Live Your Life" (DMG) and Marcos also released Gabriel's first official single on his label UC Music Group.

"Did a collab with Gabriel and it was pleasure to see his drive, talent, and passion. I see a brilliant future with a unique sound for my bro." - Marcos Carnaval

Since then Gabriel has also collaborated with world famous electronic producer David Heartbreak for the single "Black Friday" which was a part of Gabriel's debut EP "The Groove" (DMG) released January of 2013.

"Gabe has his percussion game on lock" - David Heartbreak

The EP also features Gabriel's hit "Funk You" which recently has been embraced by radio across the United States, and around the world.

With the popularity of Gabriel's music growing across the globe, he has recently been booked to play in India and other countries throughout Asia. He is also planning to hit Brazil & South America very soon as well.

So look out for Gabriel in a city near you!
