The music has been a motivation to Igor SM. Born in 1984, since he was very young, he was already interested in collecting lp’s and k7 tapes, mainly of Brazilian rock 80’s and of progressive rock 70’s. He realized what is the Dj profession by listening to FM Radios and after some time following his favorite programs he learned mixing techniques.

After some years, in 2005, Igor SM knew the tracks of Sander Van Doorn and in this moment some aspects changed. Instead of only listening to electronic music, he discovered his interest in producing. It was an important point, he learned the basic about making dance music and specialized softwares.

Recently the core Energy BR has created his own label to release tracks from their artists. As a step in this process was promoted a remix contest of track 8 Bit Morning by Danilo Ercole, one of the most respected Brazilian names in the Trance and Progressive style. Igor SM was the winner with a remix Tech Trance that shows a groove that characterizes his productions, joining synthetic and very electric timbres with organic and regional instruments.

With good projects underway in various styles such as Tech Trance, Progressive House, Progressive Breaks, it seems that Igor SM is one of the promises of the Brazilian electronic music.
