The "spirit voice" speaking through and with the android girl, explains this to the boy to calm his fears as she transforms his dying body into a machine.
She tells him, becoming mechanical is just one transformation in a long line of possibilities.
Andria believes they may eventually become beings of light and experience existence as one eternal day.
