Iceland pdx, from Portland Oregon can best be described as "Gothic tinged, Post Punk, Psych". The band recalls the best of such influential predecessors as The Cure, Bauhaus, Jesus and Mary Chain, Echo and the Bunnymen etc. Iceland consists of Scott Watkins: Vox/Guit, John Carson: Bass/vox and Nick Zacchino: Drums/Keys/ambiance. Iceland's music is decidedly rigid in pattern and tempo, yet melodic with patience. A disciplined control of the rhythm section allows for a free and sometimes frenetic accompaniment. Keys and sampling sprinkled throughout add the finishing touches to Iceland's already engaging music.
