Bio: The group started in 2010 when Griffin Taylor (vocals, guitar) and Ian Cunningham (percussion) decided to take their songs into the world and began performing at local Vancouver, WA coffee shops. In the summer of 2010, their self-released demo "Lit Up" was posted online under the band name Faire du Surf. In August, 2010 "Lit Up" was the #1 Most Downloaded song on PureVolume.com with over 45,000 downloads.
The acoustic duo soon evolved into a full band with high school friends Brennan Jung (bass) and Tyler Peterson (keyboards, guitar) and the group began playing shows in Portland, OR at venues such as The Hawthorne Theater and Backspace, drawing crowds in the hundreds. In late 2011, the band went on hiatus as high school ended for some and members moved from their hometown.
Griffin and Ian now reside in Seattle, WA and are attending the University of Washington. They have recently revived their musical aspirations with the help of Griffin's childhood friend and guitarist virtuoso, Jacob Taylor. The band is currently happy to be booking shows all across the Northwest, from Portland to Vancouver, BC and writing new material to add to their setlist.
