You've got green eyes flecked with gold
A Midas look that turns to stone
    Flashing like a warning light
A burning glance that catch a fire
Our history goes on the pyre
Up in smoke it rises higher
You become your own star chamber
I am condemned as a liar
    Jealousy, it feels like jealousy

Jealousy is an emotion and typically refers to the negative thoughts and feelings of insecurity, fear, and anxiety over an anticipated loss of something that the person values, particularly in reference to a human connection. Jealousy often consists of a combination of presenting emotions such as anger, resentment, inadequacy, helplessness and disgust. It is not to be confused with envy.

Did I call you by another name
Did I linger on your best girl friend
What did I say, who did I see
What did I do that wasn't with you
    That's jealousy

    Jealous is what jealous does
    Jealous sees what jealous must
    Jealous tears and jealous thrusts
Through the heart in jealous bursts
    Jealous is what jealous does
    Jealous does what jealous must
