I'm a teenage songwriter, and this is a song that I wrote and recorded independently.

You can't reverse your golden touch
Not like you really care that much
But someday, you'll wake up and you'll realize
It's all you have, and metal's really not your color

You think you're happy on your own
And that you're better off alone
But one day, you'll understand just what it means
To let things go, you'll crystallize the only thing
You ever loved, and then you'll see the world
    In a new light

You think about the past as if it could be changed
You think about the past as if it's still the same
    But it's not
