About

Rhythm and Hop

The intertwining of soulful R&B melodies and instrumentals with hip hop lyrics, A new Genre created by indie artist J. Ames. With a game plan to change the Urban music scene and goal to put Seattle on the Map this artist is commanding the ears of his listeners and has heads bobbing and radios bumping his songs throughout the northwest. Now residing in the L.A area and expanding his fan base to encompass the entire west coast, he is working on his first major release entitled "Rhythm & Hop". This album will be a tribute to the hardships endured in his past, overcoming obstacles, all the nay sayers he's encountered and a thank you to all the people who have supported him along the way.

Humble beginnings and an old scholl up bringing lead to Y.T's mind-set and diverse outlook. Your front row seat to this mentality and the lyrical genius it inspires are each of his tracks. He tells the stories of his life through songs such a " Trails and Tribulations", Love and lose in "shattered glass" and street living in "street shit" He brings the characteristics of an unstoppable rapper to the table in every track. "Your vocal tone is dope. Your accent, lyrics and swag are your highest qualities. It seems that lot's of artists these days don't have that grimy vibe that 90's music had. You have an element of that."
- N8BEATS, MAKEYOURHIT.COM.

A jack of all trades, J. Ames writes, produces, and composes for other artist in the entertainment industry. He has started his own music group I3MG. A tribute to his children who are his motivation to continue his career.
