About

iAmalam is a live-performance electronic group created by Ryan Baird (guitar, laptop, percussion, toys) and Nick Muzyczka (keyboard, synth, melodica, laptop, toys). In live shows iAmalam uses Ableton to create live mixes of their tunes, with extra parts (solos, weird noises, shouting) added in real time by real instruments. Based in Shanghai, the group doesn't really have a particular artistic focus but hopes the tunes engage and uplift. iAmalam is indebted to odd-time groove music, the masters of the minimalist movement and many wonderful contemporary electronic artists.

i think the hi-hat sound should not be so continuous during this section. cutting in and out would be better

I don't like the dubby drum sound that comes in here. works in places but not always in time and conflicts a little with the main beat because there is too much of it
