For me Soundcloud presents the possibility of a return, full-circle, to a world where songwriters, composers and producers can share their music equally. Until now, many music platforms have proliferated the view that famous music is more valuable and would have us use them in much the same way as the old A&R demo system. The emphasis became self-publicising and not sharing. I am hoping in some way that these remnants of corporatemusic domination over our listening is falling away that little bit more.
