From the album 'Slopey' - an album of melodic and catchy songs showcasing a heart-worn, folk-soul voice, made with trusty collaborator Jason Ellis.
Slopey was recorded in Tunnel Studios North Dublin.
song credits:
Rob Corbett: Drums, Bongos
Colette O'Leary: Accordion
Jason Ellis: Bass, Backing Vocals,
Hugh Doolan: Acoustic Guitar, Vocals
LYRICS:
Sitting on a chair
pulled out from under my eyes
Under a star I'm straining to see
crash my party some day
If there's not a-one to be seen
falling through your stratosphere
if not so young
I would lie in grass til a star hits my street
chaos floating down the worn out tributaries
from the Heartlands
Gimme a string, gimme me a line
I'll fish the skies for the divine
gimme a try, show me a good time
spiders catching flies
if not so young
chorus-
..swamped in caravans

Really nice groove to this, great rhthym guitar and vocals on your part and tasteful accompaniment from your band members. Cool lyrics too, great stuff!
