Pleased to post another collaboration with the extraordinary Bryan Ciliberto (Pall of a Past World), who suggested we do a bluegrass/gospel/hymn. I'm not sure who wrote this song, but it was fun to do.

@Helber Sisters: Yeah, I love that informal feel...although as you say, Tony's playing is always complex and masterful.

@Joseph Houck: Well, since you mentioned it, I am also a Tony Rice fan. I don't aspire to play guitar like he does though. Some of Norman's work is more attainable, I think, and so I doggedly continue to try. I do have Blake and Rice I and II, and enjoy both. The bits of banter between the two is funny. (something like " Ah, Pick it Curly".) Also have a lot of Norman and Nancy Blake playing together..

Simply wonderful Joseph! You and Bryan are so adept at this which makes perfect sense listening to the original work you both put out. For me there's nothing simple about these traditional gospel songs. They carry a world weariness, yet a faith and calling that says we'll see it all through. And in this one you guys sing and play as if you've been around since the song was first written!

@Joseph Houck: Well done, you passed the test. If you'd just taken that I'd have given you a funny look, but seriously you're playing some very nice mando on this. I must see if he's coming to these shores at some time. And what's with the 'probably'?
