This is a collection of early songs by Shiny Dayz now known as Iron African, a Ugandan born rapper and producer living in Stockholm, Sweden. Some of the songs were released on vinyl, some were put on mixtapes but most are previously unreleased. The music is heavily influenced by the american east coast where Shiny Dayz spent a lot of time during the "golden era" of Hip Hop. In 1999 Shiny Dayz signed a deal with Royalty Network publishing in New York and started recording at the legendary Fast Foward Studios on Manhattan. Early 2000 his first single 720 Degrees was released and distributed by the infamous Buds Distribution, New York. The single 720 Degrees was well recieved on radio and mixtapes. Shiny Dayz continued to work on his debut album which he was scheduled to premier during a performance on the New York Music Week September 13, 2001. Unfortunately September 11, 2001 the World Trade Center incident happened and the Shiny Dayz performance which was supposed to take place pretty close to the WTC was canceled.
It would take months for the music industry to recover and by that time Shiny had moved back to Sweden. In Stockholm Shiny Dayz changed his artist name to Iron African, formed his own label Ruush Music(Realise U Under Savere Heat) and put out some records, he eventually put out his debut album Third World Animals in 2005.
Since then Iron African has released two more albums independently; The Hunger and Late Bloomer. His fourth album My Own Little War will be released this fall of 2010.
