Formed in 2005, the international roots group Hope Massive is a rare blessing of roots and vintage dancehall music. Priding themselves on positive forward movement; rather than competition and instant success, a new foundation has been created between the five-piece band assembled from the areas most humble and respected musicians. Just like there music, Hope Massive demonstrates there ability to maintain positivity while mashing up the dance floor; delivering beautiful melodies, luscious harmonies and explosive lead lines to create a unique and original sound. The intensity of the rhythm section creates evocative grooves that cannot be denied by young-old, black-white, red-yellow, poor or wealthy. People music for the People.

Hope Massive's creation was a true blessing, with members originating throughout the nation. Adding colorful personalities across the spectrum; they collectively linked up inna the mountains of Boone, NC, while attending Appalachian State University. Each member was involved with respectable music projects of there own even before the formation of Hope Massive that still exist to this day. With the common goal of Highya Meditation and making powerful music to influence the people through mind, body, and soul Hope Massive was born.

Combining reggae, current and ancient events, vintage dancehall, rock, Latin jazz and other world music, Hope Massive has created a formula for a promising yet challenging mission...to make the people think, dance and feel through there music. Originality, humbleness, and hard-work are crucial in the development of Hope Massive's music, vision, and longevity.

HOME GROWN MUSIC NETWORK: SHOW REVIEW - ASHEVILLE MUSIC JAMBOREE - JUNE 1-3, 2007 "Hope Massive brings the positive life force with those tight reggae & hip hop beats." - Lori McKinney

Mountain Xpress, Jan. 2007 "The immensely danceable, soul-stirring Hope Massive blends roots and dancehall, reggae and world music to create a groovy feel-good whole. While each of the five members boasts an impressive musical resume, it's their collective creation that's forged this new rhythmic musical consciousness."

Encore, May 2006 "Their songs are strong both lyrically and musically, bolstered by perfect timing and poignant messages... Check out Hope Massive for a show that's full of massive talent and energy." - Francesca Soroka

The Mountain Times, Dec. 22, 2005 "The band mixes elements of traditional reggae like the dance hall shout out, trumpet flourishes and long snaky bass lines with newer styles like progressive rock and modern ska. It is a mix that is at once infectious and soothing, with a sound that gets people out of their chairs in a hurry. Hope Massive is currently riding a wave of success that could explode into national recognition sooner than later." - Jeff Eason
