Funk It Sideways:
Welcome to what will hopefully become a monthly event, as I attempt to highlight some of the great music out there that never makes it to radio waves.

The Funk It Sideways session starts off funky, housey and full of strings with David West’s catchy remix of “22 Years”. I'm a bit of a strings junky, I think I can blame the classic "Strings of Life" for starting me down that path many years ago! From "22 Years" we blend into Nic Fanciulli’s surprisingly addictive “Work the Week” - which I must admit is a welcome diversion from his usual eclectic tech-heavy outings. The jive continues with Sweet Devil (topped the Beatport Top 10 recently) before well and truly mellowing out into Gorge’s deep house remix of The Beginning. To round out the short mix, EDX notches the pace back up a little with a moving prog-house offering, “Party of Politics” – containing a snippet from John F. Kennedy’s Civil Rights speech from 1963.

This short mix would be best enjoyed as a bit of background music to help start off a Saturday night - hope you enjoy it – thankyou for listening.
