Holy Buckets has officially released their debut EP “Synthetic Light.” This band brings a new element of musicality to the electronic music scene. Holy Buckets is not afraid to think outside of the box, dance around it, stand on top of it, or crush it. Their music spans multiple genres and explores what the electronic music medium is capable of with little regard for boundaries or “the norm.” Each song stands apart and strong on its own while still retaining a musical quality unlike anything else that’s currently in the electronic music scene.

Holy Buckets is an electronic duo comprised of Sean McFerran (vocals/horns/electronics/production) and Tyler Smith (percussion/electronics/production). These forward thinking artists have been friends since childhood, growing up in Lake Arrowhead, CA. They completed their undergraduate degrees together at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, CA where they began talking about creating music together. Through what they originally referred to as “organic electronic music,” Sean and Tyler came together to form Holy Buckets in June of 2011.

Holy Buckets is not about stitching together pre-made loops or settling for default synths. Instead, this duo likes to record real instruments/sounds masterfully blending these with original electronic tracks created from scratch. Holy Buckets is proof that the electronic music genre is still capable of producing innovative music that’s not only fun and danceable, but also creative and choc full of musicianship.
