Well, it's been some time since I've uploaded a mix - but it's not as though I haven't been playing music. In fact, this winter I've been spinning more than ever and challenging myself to take my DJ'ing further. This mix in particular explores some of the lighter minimal sounds that I enjoy, and hopefully the chill tech grooves keep you shufflin about right to that last awkward beat. :)

For this mix I used dual CDJ800's, synced with Traktor Scratch Pro, through a xone:62 mixer, recorded through my laptop. I've been playing on CDJ's for more than a year now, but the recent addition of the pro Traktor hardware / software has opened up a lot of new possibilities for me (providing new and interesting ways to tweak, filter and mash tracks together). While I deliberately don't let the software do my beatmatching for me (I know it could if I asked it to) it definitely offers a number of visual features (such as track-striping, phase shift display, song key info, etc) that help improve my mixing and let me know how well I've lined things up. I've only just barely touched the surface - but I hope you like how it all sounds (and stay tuned to see what evolves next).
