Grey Granite and J. Brookinz continue to prove that Gateway 2 is going to be an all-city affair on the second single "Future Ninjas" featuring Oreo Jones, Flaco, Lisa Berlin, and Young Carolyn:

After a 48 hour studio lock-in, J. Brookinz and Grey Granite have wrapped the recording phase of Gateway 2! In celebration of their smoking accomplishment, the Heavy Gunners are linking up with Indy Mojo to exclusively release the second single via the Indianapolis social networking site. "Future Ninja" picks up where "Stuck" ended with spaced out guitars in Brookinz's production, a stellar hook from Lisa Berlin of Jookabox, a fly bridge from Young Carolyn, and slick verses from Grey, Oreo Jones, and Flaco. With 20+ artists recorded during the lock-in and 28 artists on the final project, Indianapolis needs to get prepared as if it were 4:19 for one of the most collaborative albums in the city's musical history! Oh, and we have to send a HUUUUUUUGE shout out the Kemps for letting us takeover their studio Helter Shelter for the weekend!

During the spring and summer of 2010, J. Brookinz reasserted why he is hands down the Highest Man Alive. 4/20/2010 found the producer (and sometimes rapper) releasing his most well received project to date. The Gateway Drug: THC was Mr. Brookinz's love letter to the light of his life--marijuana. As a testament to how intertwined cannabis and hip-hop have become in American culture, the project was featured on blogs such as Ruby Hornet, Kick Kick Snare, Mostly Junk Food, Noise Porn, Check The Rhymes, and Tune Devil. Watch for J. Brookinz to follow up The Gateway Drug's success with Gateway 2 dropping April 15, 2011!
