My name is Hert Zöllner and I'm a motion-designer, employed by Media Republic, in Amsterdam, Netherlands. I specialize in designing still and motion graphics for campaign sites, advergames, presentations and the occasional TV commercial.
These tracks were made with ProTracker on my Commodore Amiga 500 in the late 80ies, early 90ies when I was about 16-18 years old. I was obsessed in creating pretty dark music for the videogames in my head, and these are some of my best, imho. I was determined to study sounddesign at the HKU academy but the people there didn't want anybody without real-instrument skills like me (pfhah!).. So I opted for the interaction design study instead. Looking back (internet bubble, remember?) that wasn't such a bad move.
These songs make me nostalgic to that time in my childhood. MTV, Miami Vice, Scarface, walkmans, Nintendo Game & Watch, Amiga, synthesizers, black clothes, from Depeche Mode to Orbital, and being angry about anything.
Back then, when computers crashed, they crashed AWESOMELY, en we'd just shrug it off and reboot. Todays digital creatives are all whining pussies..
