It was a dark and stormy night..

Experimenting with a more narrative lyric, plus throwing in some background scene sounds for good measure.

    An old man sits,
    in a dank dark room
    Way at the top,
    of a concrete tower block
His ribcage creaks with each slow breath,
Pulls the skin taught 'cross his chest
As he stares off into the night

    A long red cloak,
    covers her head to toe
    As she skips amongst the,
    streetlight amber
Her eyes are red from tears,
But her smile is glinting bright,
She looks up to the tower block,
    And she spies her prize

    Sat up at his window,
He's struck by her serpentine shadow,
And he'd swear for a moment their eyes met,
    Before the dark.
    The bite of the wind,
    tears him awake
    He's not smelt this air,
for 6 years to the day,
As she helps him to his feet,
    amongst the streetlight amber

Her warm hands in his cold,
    She pulls herself in close,
As they slowly start to waltz
His slippers slide across the asphalt,
    Those arching graceful steps,
    His legs never forget,
    Their glory days,
    He hardly feel the blade.

She helps him to the ground,
    His muffled gurgling sounds,
She wipes away the blood from the corners of his mouth
    She straightens herself up,
    Sniffles back a tear,
    A sudden nervous laugh,
    The echo disappears.
