Alec's Story remixed 2012 - Master

I recorded this with my son Alec on vocals in about 2008, the artwork picture is of him and is from around that time too.

He did really well with the lyrics and we had fun recording, it might not be perfectly understandable at all points but it definitely sounds cute! Always brings a tear to my eye and when Justine and I listened to it together we both went AWWWW when Alec's voice came in.

It's one of those things, I guess, that you always think your kids are the cutest in the world, and perhaps I'm just being an over proud parent, but I'm glad I did this to act as a reminder of him when he was small, if nothing else.

I've never released it, but lot's of people have asked about it, and I have reworked the groove into other tracks. It's in the SPKZ DJ set about halfway, and I remember it going down really well on the night.

This mix is slightly different, I was never happy with the original mix so I've given it a little facelift and I think it's a lot better for it, the vocals are louder and clearer and the drums and warmer with a deeper bass.
