Formed in autumn of 2008, HEMENDEX is a collective of hard working drones from Croatia fixated on fusing analog and digital synthetic sounds with distorted string instruments in order to create something someone in 1983 might have imagined as pop music from the near future, incorporating VJing along with a strong visual identity in their live performances. After playing a string of live shows (documented on free digital "Life is not a soundcheck" releases) with bands such as Ladytron, Handsome Furs and The Young Gods, the band appeared on various compilations, released its first 7" record, entitled "Reset 1" (selfreleased, 2010) and its critically praised sequel "Reset 2" (Geenger Records, 2011).
