Since 2008 Hemendex (a synth-pop/new-wave/something band from Zagreb) has been writing music inspired by EBM, electro, darkwave, punk rock and radio-friendly pop music dating from the last three decades. As we tend to spice things up during our shows by using various visual effects and live VJ-ing, we often joke and call our music "maximal wave" or "hotwave".
Hemendex has so far played with bands like Ladytron, The Wedding Present and The Young Gods, and will continue playing with even bigger intensity in the future. Releases include a 7" vinyl "Reset 1", a free digital live EP "Life is Not a Soundcheck vol. 1", and a CD EP "Reset 2", released by Geenger Records in 2011. You can find our songs on various compilations as well, such as German "Darkness Before Dawn vol. 3". This year we released a split single with 1/2 named "Commercial Break", and (as you are reading this) we're recording an album called "Solution to Reality".
