About
Hello Mexico are an ambient rock band from London, fronted by Myles Pereira. Completed by guitarists Nick Calafato and John Martinelli, drummer Daniel Mayers and pianist/vocalist Gulli Gunnarsson, the band have released two EPs and one single to date.
Their first release was the three track EP ‘Five Twenty Seven’. The songs showcased an experimental and progressive edge - coupled with melodic and delicate textures. The three songs were released digitally and physically in June 2010. A release of a digital single, ‘Sleeper’, then followed in October 2010.
In May 2011 and after several lineup changes, the band released their five track self-titled EP as a limited free download release to the first 1000 downloaders. The EP was supported with a UK tour with Kyte in September 2011 and several shows in the first part of 2012, including a headline London show in January and a support slot with This Will Destroy You in April.
Since then, the band have been busy writing and demo-ing new songs. A double single is set to arrive in November 2012.
