Once upon I time a visited a friend of mine who showed me a couple of nostalgic videos of Ukrainian early 90s pop. He recently moved in and one of his speakers was placed near a huge carton box, which produced a muddy resonance to everything it played. I liked how it sounded and I sampled with my handheld recorder a small fragment of a video that was playing at the moment (the band was called "Phantom 2"). Three compositions of the EP are based on this sample, processed and cut. Inital rawness, low-fi quality of the sampled fragment brought in my mind documentation of a period in history when humaity seemed enamoured with emerging technology, when phantoms reflected in glass and trains arriving in moving images were both real and magical.
