Heavy Accents (aka Andrew Huang) is a DJ, tired of generic and predictable playlists that tend to plague the current music landscape; he is dedicated to providing eclectic, unconventional and beat-driven dance music in every set. His mission is to provide new sounds derived from the past, yet living in the present and indicative of the future.

During college, Heavy Accents hosted his own weekly indie/electronic/hip-hop radio show called "Break Out The Shakedown" for three years on Santa Barbara's independent radio station, KCSB 91.9FM, simultaneously spinning various gigs between UCSB, Isla Vista, and Downtown Santa Barbara.

Over the last few years, he has shared stages with RAC, Cosmic Kids, Peanut Butter Wolf, Blaqstarr, Chromeo, etc. and has also had the pleasure of opening for two of the most talented & respected DJs in L.A., Them Jeans & Dan Oh, at Dim Mak Tuesdays.

Currently residing in Hollywood, Heavy Accents works on the team behind Dim Mak Records by day, and rolls out his special blend of indie/electro/disco/house at venues around L.A. and beyond at night. He is currently on the quest to discover time travel.
