Already an established live performer, heath:ward has provided what can only be described as a synthesis of cinematic electronica, minimal house loops, huge driving rhythms and a fusion of analogue synths & vox.
Mark Ward aka heath:ward has appeared live at festivals including Bestival, Blissfields, Pulse, Lubstock, Tonic festival, and will be re-appearing at Cockermouth Rock festival, Pulse, B'estfest & Blissfields and various clubs across the UK this summer.
It is worth noting that heath:ward’s stunning performances are completely live using sampled loops & live virtual instruments all manipulated using a midi controller, Novation launchpad and various Korg, Moog synths and modules on ipad. Remixing his own productions on the fly from the forthcoming album 'Moon Lounge', due out on EJ Underground September 2013.
Musical influences include Trentemøller, Aphex Twin, Royksopp, Nitin Sawhney, Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Karsh Kale and Leftfield. These influences are completely apparent within the music press by heath:ward being described as the “Chemical Brothers and Leftfield Lovechild”.
Supported by BBC Introducing with regular plays on BBC Radio and live appearances on BBC Introducing South, and Wiltshire already under his belt, as well as guest appearances on various radio shows across the UK, Canada and Thailand.
Signed to EJ Underground in January 2013 with single releases already available worldwide from April 2013 and various remixes for labels including Aztec and Bloxbox Records.
As well as festivals and live venue performances, heath:ward has also supported various artists including Dreadzone, Eat Static, Orbital and Death in Vegas.
