Hatish (Matīss Beķeris) is a beat-maker from Ventspils, a city located in the West-coast of Latvia. He began making beats in 2009 when he became interested in the process of hip-hop beat-making and decided to try it out himself.

Hip-hop is, and has been for several years, the only musical genre that can truly meet his demands as a listener. Since hip-hop has always been largely based on the foundations of sampling, Hatish, too, mostly uses this technique when creating his music.

He believes every beat-maker was born with his own style and approach to creating music; everything else is just the matter of practice and experience.
