As a producer, Harrison has a reputation for thinking outside the box. He takes extreme pride in his attention to detail, shaping the integrity of the song as well as the atmosphere of the performance. He feels that a lot of recordings these days are stripped of basic emotional layers as a result of over-editing and over-producing. Harrison retains this important layer by focusing on the right components of the production using his branded techniques. “There is such a thing as too many tracks in a session. There is such a thing as too many countermelodies in a song.”
Harrison has had extensive training working in professional studio environments. He has worked with Juno winners and Grammy nominated artists, earned thousands of hours in the studio, assisted on a hundred plus sessions and has worked as an engineer on one hundred more. In 2011, Harrison went as far as to build, design, create and manage his very own recording studio called Point Blank Productions (2010-2013), which became a thriving four room production studio, deep in the core of downtown Toronto.
As a recording artist, Harrison has worked as a live session guitarist and has toured Ontario as a singer-songwriter, accumulating numerous festival credits and venue experience along the way. He has single-handedly written over three hundred songs (and counting) and is very quickly building his portfolio as a co-writer and music composer in the Toronto area. As a solo artist, Harrison Fine recently hit the studio in 2012 to record his debut album, One For Luck, and received strong local acclaim as a result. He is currently writing, composing and producing a follow-up to his debut album, while juggling the work of designing a CD release party and organizing a full band tour in 2014.
