Need a gift for a gifted musician?
A true music entrepreneur and visionary, Harold (HDUB) Whaley is creating a unique, personalized digital entertainment experience for his listeners. Combining his love for soul, gospel, r&b, hip-hop and rap, Harold has been creating his own sound for over 2 decades. Reminiscent of a singing brass instrument he has leveraged his high school band experience in his originally produced songs. Songs like Think, Someone like you, and It’s not about possess a throwback nature of the 70’s with a timeless swing. Harold latest album was penned entirely on the Apple iPad 3. Every note was played on the onboard keyboard of Garageband and all vocals sang directly on the mobile device. “I believe after owning hundreds of thousands of dollars of musical equipment over the past years, learning to consolidate all of those devices on a tablet that I can lay vocals while in the parking lot of McDonalds, this gives anyone the ability to express his or her point of view musically. I just wanted to show it could be done. I worked on over 80 songs for this project some I’m fond of and some I tolerate, so it was a challenge being creative while at the same time being technical.” This former Award Winning Recording Artist is also integrating his own ability to broadcast and interact with social networks to help garner exposure for this and future projects. Hdub also moonlights as the VP of Strategic Development for the American Basketball Association (ABA), where he plans to use his built-in basketball audience to help further expose his and other artist music via performances and showcasing music during the games. As a team owner of the West Michigan Lake Hawks for the 2013-2014 ABA Basketball Season he plans to expose his music from the land of where cars and car radios were born.
