Bio:
The Harlem House Trotters is a DJ/Production team based in New York City. Their creative use of samples and live instrumentation has developed a specific cross-genre sound that sets them apart from many other up-and-coming DJ/producers. Affectionately called the HHT’s by their friends and fans, the duo has a tightly knit following, that loves to party and loves the HHT’s. With a talent for catchy, danceable melodies, hard drops, they can keep the dance floor alive all night.
The HHT’s original works and remixes have been steadily growing in popularity on Soundcloud and their remix of TC’s “Tap Ho” was recently played and well-received at New York’s Pacha nightclub. Their premiere EP “The Heights” was released in early 2013, with three original tracks, and also featured bonus tracks of their infamous remixes. Initially the HHT’s were loved for their mash-ups, but the Trotters have shown that great remixes and even originally produced tracks are well within their abilities.
Both members of the Harlem House Trotters are classically trained musicians holding degrees in music performance from the Manhattan School of Music. When they began to work together on mash-ups, they discovered they both possessed a special ear for electronic music production and started to focus their musicianship toward producing high quality music for an EDM audience.
The duo currently holds DJ Residency at SEA in New York’s Meatpacking district, and is a key contributor to the newly formed Riverside Party Promotion team. The Harlem House Trotters have been blessed to spin with dozens of high-level artists, and continue to hold their own in the very demanding world of electronic music production.
