Need a gift for a gifted musician?
A relatively recent partnership, Harkin & Raney draws from years and years spent lost in music. Steve Raney (known to many as One Auff) came to NYC in 2005 with ten years of djing already under his belt. It was shortly thereafter that he connected with Eamon Harkin, an Irish-born DJ who’s become a central figure in the City’s party scene thanks to his hugely influential club nights Fun, Prime Time, Mister Saturday Night, and Sunday Best.
One Auff’s released a handful of tunes over the years, including the Beatport charting “Lip Them” for Buzzard Gulch and a forthcoming remix for NYC’s Cubic Zirconia. Eamon Harkin has released a couple of critically hailed disco edits on Wurst Music and his own Subway Series imprint. As a production team, Harkin & Raney have just begun, releasing hotly tipped remixes for Throne of Blood’s Populette and Wurst Music’s Neurotic Drum Band already this year. “Word To Wise” represents their debut EP and marks the arrival of something truly special.
