From Lima, Peru, Hans Tavera is a young guy of adventurous spirit, and has been in the music scene since he was a small child. Over the years, he has played numerous traditional musical instruments including the saxophone, drums/percussion, piano, and guitar. He focused his interest and talent on different rhythms and musical types and his passion for music eventually led him to like Progressive House & Techno and other form of electronic music. In 2003, he was allowed to share his passion with the people of Lima through a radio show at Spain.
In 2004 would be a very important year for his musical adventure, influenced by such electronic producers as Desyn Masiello, Nick Warren, John Digweed & Sasha, Hans started producing his own tracks on Ableton and Cubase while he also was asked to perform at various clubs throughout Lima, sharing the stage with such international DJs as Wally Lopez, DJ Bruno, Shawn Rudnick & Tim Deluxe in the northeast of Brazil. He soon found a weekly residency with his "Lima Live Sessions" show at 2 Canadian radio stations: Club 246 and Chin Radio 100.7FM.
The same year he traveled to Argentina in June, where he played in some popular Buenos Aires venues with local djs like his good friend Lyoko. Then performed in the city of Baradero as headliner at a music festival with Carlos Ruiz, considered one of the best Argentinian Techno exports and finished his performance in San Pedro.
He traveled throughout Brazil from November 2005 to January 2006, where he played in numerous clubs in Rio of Janeiro and in the Northeast as a headliner with local djs. His interview on TV Cidade (a local channel), had a solid impact for his professional career. In early 2006, Tavera was more dedicated to his own productions and edits, focusing on his style, were he played later on such radio outlets as Frisky Radio, Proton Radio, Danceradio, Pulse, Pure.fm, Tranceplantation (Russia) among others.
That year he became a co-presenter with Augusto Siles on their Afterhours Radio Show on Doble Nueve 99.1 FM -- the most famous, prestigious and listened show in Lima, Peru, which airs every Saturday night. Highlights from their show include Exclusives interviews by Hans and Guest Mixes from such prominent international artists as John Digweed, Nick Warren, Guy J, Joris Voorn, Marco Bailey, Luna City Express, Omid 16B, Demi, Ian O’Donovan, Facundo Mohrr, Pitto, Dosem, Denis A, Victoria R, Estroe, Eelke Kleijn, Deetron, Robert Babicz, Timo Maas, Joey Negro, Seuil, Chris Fortier, Anthony Collins, King Unique, Barem, Burnski, Fergie, Lee Curtiss, Alan Fitzpatrick, James Talk, Fabricio Peçanha, Ricky Ryan, Neil Quigley, Deep Mariano, Elite Force, Tim Davison, S.O.S, Sander Kleinenberg, Moshic, Lützenkirchen, Christian Smith, Luke Solomon, 16 bit Lolitas, Satoshi Tomiie, Nick Curly, Miss Nine, Umek, and over the last 6 years, they have had more than 2000 guests.
Hans worked as an A&R for a record label called Fiberline Audio where producers were signed such as Andrew K, Ricky Ryan, Dj Bia, Dj Ceratti, Dj Paul, Dj Tim, Federico Epis, Jaytech, KVK, Lemon, Matt Rowan, Mercurio, Micah, Ogi Gee Cash, Roger Martinez, Sam Mollison, Sean McClellan, Snake Sedrick, Steve Mill, Terry Grant & V-Sag. Also on the Serbian Music Label called Rezonant, having artists like Marko Nastic and Audionova, with constant support by the likes of Sasha, John Digweed, Laurent Garnier, Valentino Kanzyani, and Danny Howells.
In March of 2007, he traveled again to Argentina, to play in Buenos Aires, doing a tour called ADN, where he played near to 25 djs from there, and be part of the headliners near with Tarkan (Turkey), and Fernando Picon (Uruguay).
In 2008, he played with techno legends, Derrick May and Dave Haslam in Lima. Later that year, Hans performed at the prestigious Creamfields Peru, playing with DJs like Anthony Rother, Felix Da Housecat, Junkie XL, Steve Lawler, Sebastian Leger, Desyn Masiello, Satoshi Tomiie, Dave Seaman, Markus Schulz, Radio Slave, Carl Craig, M.A.N.D.Y and Martin Buttrich.
2009, was a better year, playing as headliner at Beats One Outdoor with Anthony Pappa, King Unique, John Selway & Joseph Capriati and once again at Creamfields but this time with Richie Hawtin, Hernan Cattaneo, Sander Kleinenberg, James Zabiela, Etienne de Crecy, Gaiser, Hybrid, Henry Saiz, Guy J, among others big artists.
Hans performed again at Creamfields Peru 2010 & 2011 playing with DJs like with Ferry Corsten, Calvin Harris, Nick Warren, Paul Kalkbrenner, 16 bit Lolitas, Silicon Soul, Sultan & Ned Shepard, Dubfire, Marco Carola, Ilario Alicante, Davide Squillace, Claude Von Stroke, Jamie Jones, Dyed Soundorom, Soulclap, & Jay Haze. After few days he traveled again to Brazil to play as headliner on an important venue Club Ice in Sao Paulo.
