London's homegrown DJ, producer and label boss incorporates all of the best bits of the city's past and present club culture. Sneaking into the Metalheadz Sessions at The Blue Note at age just 14, it was here that she caught the bug for the beat... and the bass! She’s never looked back since, and became renowed for legendary DJ residencies at Trailer Trash and Batty Bass, two of East London's underground iconic clubs, starting in 2003. Her star has been on the rise ever since, rocking dancefloors all over the world for hugely respected parties like Bugged Out, The Warehouse Project, Fabric, Ibiza’s Amnesia, Glastonbury, The Arches in Glasgow, Serbia’s notorious Exit Festival as well as Japan and Australia.
Her distinct productions, which fuse many styles, into hybrid of house, techno and bass has led to over 30 releases including remixes for The Knife, DJ Hell, O Children and Planning To Rock as well as original works such as underground hits 'Shake It Up ft. Mama' and 'Paris' acid Ball'.
In 2006 Hannah started Batty Bass as a vehicle to pursue the more eclectic side of her musical repertoire alongside long-time collaborator and friend Mama. Batty Bass subsequently manifested itself as a label in 2008, showcasing the incredible artists that have graced the stage of the club. Batty Bass has since become something of a monster. Continuously mobbed bi-monthly parties at The Star of Bethnal Green described by Time Out as "one of London's finest clubs… a must-do on the UK's club calendar”. And now 19 releases in has seen outputs from Hannah herself alongside Justin Robertson's The Deadstock 33's, Dan Beaumont & Terry Farley, Bubba, New York's The Carry Nation, Jahcoozi and Mama with remixes from Dan Avery, Matt Walsh's Clouded Vision, Gavin Russom and many more up and coming & established artists. Recently Native City, a sister label was set up with fellow Batty Bass resident, Deboa. Home to a more stripped down London / Berlin sound, 5 releases in and it's caused quite a stir on dancefloors, with much critical acclaim.
Hannah is equally at home stealing the show in big rooms and festivals as she is capturing hearts in grimy basements and warehouse raves in the small hours; her groundbreaking DJ sets showcase a breathtaking array of musical offerings...woven with HH magic.
