Welcome. My name is Guillaume Baron and I live in France.

I began studying music when i was 8, taking saxophone lessons and studying music theory. I joined a symphony orchestra the following year. There, I discovered immediately a passion for orchestral music, particularly music from films.

Although I left music for several years, I resumed my musical studies when i was 16, when I learned to tame the guitar while seated on the benches of the high school. Soon thereafter, music took over my life and became my primary occupation. While earning my undergraduate degree and license in musicology at Poitiers, France, I performed in several bands -- gypsy jazz, rock/blues, cabaret -- and formed an eleven member big band jazz ensemble.

While pursuing my Master of Musicology degree, I found myself confronted with a hard choice between the pursuit of academic music study or the pursuit of a professional music career. I chose the latter and left the university to start my own freelance music studio.

In the past two years I have grown as a composer and have perfected the use of computer tools and software that enable me to produce music of the highest quality. In 2011, I composed and produced ​​my first film score for the feature film, "Dendrologium".

Then i composed music for different short movies and clips, and several musics for singers.
In parralele i begin a "career" as Sound Engineer at the Alhambra Studio in Rochefort which is a famous Studio for orchestral and jazz music.
Cristal Publishing and CDM Music begins also to believe in me, and chose to edit some of my songs on their catalog.
