The name ‘Guardians Of Dust’ was derived from the title of an unreleased song, and is the acknowledgement of the evanescence of our world: civilizations disappear, men die, cultures fall into oblivion and the strongest citadels eventually turn to dust under the relentless march of the centuries.

Famously recorded with poker money, the band’s first EP ‘Showdown’ proved a solid foundation for the band. “A lot of our songs are about how fucked up this world is” Moore reveals, “We think many things are just wrong and we know a lot of people out there feel the same way, so we’re trying to be the voice that shouts it out loud for them."

“We’re grown together in the last few years" says Nick, describing the strong bond inside the band, "We’ve supported each other in bad times and celebrated the good times together. We keep evolving, and the changes in our lives reflect how we grow as a band. We’re flesh and blood and our music is sweat and passion. Gianluca nods: "These guys are brilliant, brilliant players and brilliant men, there’s nowhere else I’d rather be and nothing else I’d rather do. We’re brothers.”

When asked about their ambition, GoD make no secret they’re in to win. “If you’re in this business you can’t be shy about your intentions” admits Serj, “We know it’s a long and winding road ahead, but what some would see as a challenge we embrace as an opportunity. We’re aiming for the top.”

“As a band we never take anything for granted” adds Dan, “and that’s why we always look to up our game, it’s our way of giving back to the fans a little of what they give us. We have the drive and self-imposed discipline we think is vital: we’re perfectionists and craft our music like a work of art.”

The London rockers are now back with enough gems up their sleeves to make their first full-length release an instant classic. The band's forthcoming new album will enter the pre-production phase in the summer, and with an impressive collection of potential chart-topping jewels in store, their new album is clearly a masterpiece in the making.

With a reputation as a hot live band treating every live performance as if it was the last, GoD have an insatiable appetite for the road. An extensive tour in Europe and the USA is already in the cards for 2012 to support the release of their forthcoming album.
