In his electric blend of Electro House, head-bobbing Dubstep and Dirty Dutch, Producer/Dj Grunt stands out effortlessly. It’s his groovy melodies that make audiences from all ages get up from their seats and dance to the melodious rhythms and infectious bass LINES. With his sensational creativity and phenomenal music, he is able to impart euphoria, a natural high, and hope into his audience, uniting people from all over under one name, music. Although this young superstar may rock the stage, he also rocks something else; a uniform. He proudly represents his nation, his people. Grunt’s mission as a soldier in the United States Army: protect the nation. His mission as a producer/DJ: connect with his audience. Not only is this adroit musician fervently passionate about music and all its COMPONENTS, he possesses a unique desire to help others. His purpose as a Dj is not solely to provide sheer entertainment but to catalyze hope and a desire for success to this generation.
Born and raised in the beautiful city of Long Beach, Grunt had everything in mind, other than music. In the year 2010, he was introduced to a divergent methodology of music, in the underground scenes. His prime inspiration came from DJ Vice – “Late Nights Early Flights…VIP Drink for Free” Immediately, his intense innate desire for music was brought to light. Day and night, Grunt’s mission was to learn about music, make music, and spread music. Starting with a $100 mixer, he was determined to learn. When he departed to a 3 month Search and Extraction with the military, thoughts of music flooded his mind and heart. Every second he had free; he would utilize to learn and make music, deciphering all its esoteric components. Little by little, he refined and purified his self-taught skills. Immediately after returning to his hometown, he purchased more Dj equipment and in April of 2010, Dj’d at his first gig, a house party, “Bass Fever”. That night sparked a new stage in his life, meeting numerous local Dj’s and fans. That night was the night. The night he knew he was called to be a musician, born to be a star.
Since his personal encounter with music, Grunt has Dj’d at recognized clubs around SoCal, and has successfully hosted a numerous amount of events alongside other Dj’s. He is also currently attending Musicians Institute in Hollywood, pursuing a career in music production. Foreigner to a once newly discovered realm, and fueled by curiosity, Dj Grunt embarked on a journey of a lifetime, exploring all aspects of music, making history.
