The sound of Irish pipes is described by the Celts as so sweet and intoxicating that in the hands of a true piper will almost certainly cause you to drift off endlessly with your thoughts. But the ancients told of another legend, all but lost in great passages of time. There is an order of piper called "Grand Pipers", they are the saviors of the lost souls that are trapped in the nether world, caught between heaven and earth. As the heavens open up, angels come forth to guide the Piper’s soul home. When other Pipers learn of their fallen brother, they play a lament so sad it is said to make angels weep.
