Hello hello there fellow cosmic funkers and deep housers yes its been a while since i did a post, mad busy here with school and everything else. So group postings are currently not visible on dashboard while soundcloud is working on new software for handling more traffic blah blah blah... honestly i think this will take a very long time till this is implemented but it doesn't mean group postings have to slow down. Currently i believe this is second biggest genre moderated group which is great we've grown tremendously in last few months and approaching 3000 members fast. There is less and less time to go through all dj mixes that are sent unfortunately mixes do take a very long time to go through compared to tracks therefore some mixes i do not even listen if your mix is more related to deep/tech house or new school deep house as some refer please send it to deep house and techno group where i do believe it will be more fitting and will get more related plays, same goes to deep/tech tracks they are deep/tech for a reason and have nothing to do with cosmic disco. That said i do listen to about 95% tracks submitted unless tags are electro house, minimal and along the lines or mainstream dance music. If you submit techno i might listen but only detroitish' / soulful type will be approved, so no your latest bleep marathon does not cut it.

all this beaing said let's review some submissions that should not be forgotten

Rayko keeps on bangin out edits like he sleeps with a tape recorder this time i especially dug this one Rayko

Very cool track comes from Alexander Jannink, spacy suspense disco with a flute that will trip you out big time Alexander Jannink - Hit It by Alexander Jannink this one gives a small subtle nod to jan hammer with a slight asian flavour very dancy without being cheesy though

Craxi Disco this one is a very nice mash-up style tune old school housy bass with disco vibes spread on top

I want your love - Brentford Disco Set (Phonomat's Spliff Buster Edit) by phonomat well this dub/ reggae disco monster speaks for itself, shall not be missed

SB Disco Edits Superbreak is another soundcloud edit monster we love over here, and here he delivers maybe not exactly his own edit but this is pure cosmic disco rock that will rock your trippy mind for a while done by Rhoreski.

on deep house front we sure had a lot of stuff coming in last few weeks (must be pre WMC hype) not going to post much this

Peter Clamat this one delievers a nod to motown sound in a very styli deep house groove

All Out War this one instantly grabbed me this hypnotic filtered disco groove with all the spacey tastiness sprinkled on top sure delivers a massive deep houser

sure there was lots of more brilliance posted but i won't overwhelm you here, go back few pages and dig yourself some massive tunage :) !

    over, out and about

hi guys sorry for slow updates, but i and i assume few other folks are having problems with dashboard not showing any group activity (such as new tracks being added) so until this is fixed i'll hold the updating as a lot of material will not be exposed to dashboards of every group member

if you experiencing this problem and happen to read this please take a second and make a reply on soundcloud support site

Hey guys, its been a busy party season over here for last few weeks so i am sorry for not posting tops last week. The amount of material subbmitted to the group has been overwhelming in last few weeks i still sit on a dozen or so mixes that are waiting to be posted, and just so you know wait time for mixes to be posted can be anywhere from 1 to 10 days. The reason is simple, we do not want to flood pages with similar mixes we try to pick the ones with diverse sounds within the genre criteria, blah blah blah. .. enough of administrative blabing and lets get to Tops for last few weeks

    Osvaldo Wilson
well its been few years since i first heard this track but its damn fine in my books, even though i like vocals from original too

spacy smooth deep/tech house groover cooked with best spices in the genre

another amazing deep houser here fantastic work by Tim Keiling

a corky raw soul house track with plenty of atmosphere vibe and funk

    Deadstock 33's-spice shuffle by JustinRobertson/Deadstock
i've been enjoying this one heavily during this week very hypnotic and down to earth

    very well produced tune here

well if you don't follow this guy's work you've been missing a lot of great music

rayko has been delivering more quality to this group in last month that anyone else so this is just one of many things he submitting over last few weeks

and to finish off we have another submission from already featured Victorius Victorius

minds of others is best decribed as a delicate downtempo jazz and we in this group certainly appreciate quality tunes like that

sorry no mixes particularly grabbed me in these two weeks following a stellar mix featured two weeks ago , but i'll back to you on that later :)

Happy New Year everybody hope your holidays went well. Holiday spirit certainly sparkled plenty of creativity around this group, we've been bombarded by huge inflow of material in last week, a few times we got as much as 35 tracks/mixes submitted a day, incredible number i must say. I approved most of the tracks but i am holding a few mixes which will be posted over next few days.
Don't forget that mixes have to have at least partial tracklistings when submitting, otherwise it is very likely that it will be removed.
Wishing everybody a highly productive year and keep sending your stuff in.

    Weekly Top 5 Jan 4, 2010.

Johnny Hammond - Tell me what to do (eleventhirtyeight 2009 NYD edit) eleventhirtyeight

Fantastic edit here, no much else should be said just listen !

Gimme your loving (Warm edit) by Warm Sounds Warm Sounds

its a misleading title because this little cranker is boiling HOT

Irene Cara - breakdancing (rayko edit) Rayko

in case you've missed appearance of this spanish edit giant starting few weeks ago, he brings another batch of quality edits this week

Julio aka Wandoe - Frisko Disko

Olav Basoski called and he wants his l............oops no Olav can learn a thing or two here. Just like the title propagates its a very frisky disco. Black dynamite would certainly approve.

from the leftfield facilities of taisouegao straight outta japan we have this massive psychedelic disco'ish thing

Mix of the week : Deeprhythms #51 - 'Isolation Tank' by Timo by deeprhythms

not much should be said here : pure class. A very smooth blend of deep/ atmospheric/ detroit'ish house making your braincell's tickle one 4/4 beat at a time
