Group Tightener was founded by Sam Hockley-Smith and Jamie Granato on a roof in Greenpoint in 2009. They've since released records by Best Coast, Alex Bleeker and The Freaks, Fluffy Lumbers, Cloud Nothings and more.
Sam Hockley-Smith is an editor at The FADER, a writer for Pitchfork and co-founder of the Group Tightener label.
Jamie Granato is co-founder of the Group Tightener label, a DJ and a musician.
