ok....some of you already got the scoop on what this little project was all about:
you know when ppl comment on a song, sometimes they tell you about images off the sounds they hear. some comments i get on tracks are quite elaborate, and autumna is one of those fellow artists that like to 'see' when they hear. so, then i got this idea: what it would be like to read something and make a tune off what you read. new challange for me! haha
sooooo....autumna was down for this project and he wrote a poem (his own images on paper) and based on what i read, i interpreted his lyrics into my own sound and understanding. on top of it all, for the first time, i used gluid field recording in the track to spice it all up. the rain you hear is off his page, free for dl and use:
i had such a blast doin' this!!
thanks guys for pitchin' in and enjoyin' being part of it :D
    here's autumna's poem:

    colour of conversation

eyes trying to adjust to levels of grey,
    smoke, timber, embers and masks,
    dusk jacket with scarlet pockets,
    fingers fumbling with frilly trinkets,
tongues embroidered with lush phrasing -
    notice the stitching!

scarlet wanting to fase out the grey,
how limber corners of mouth become
    when asking questions of taste,
    (matters of grey),

smoke slowly rises and gently dissolves,
    leaving not a single trace,
then fire dies and talk runs cold,
    flesh tones grip whatever,
    wanting to remain,
    to stall, put off

    a greyish goodbye.
