George Paar (aka Parra), real name Jorge Castillo started his love with underground music at an early age in his home country Nicaragua and in Miami, Florida playing bass guitar for an underground punk rock outfit named "Social Decay". Since 1999 he has being involved in playing and exploring the sounds of underground techno. His sets are driven by intricate and solid drum patterns. His style is eclectic and incorporates sounds from Techno, Minimal, House, and Dub, but never forgetting his punk roots. George Paar (aka Parra) moved to Montevideo, Uruguay in 1998 from Miami, Florida, never forgetting his roots in Nicaragua where he grew up in the middle of a Civil War. His home is now Montevideo where he finds inspiration from his friends to play emotional, direct and concise sets of quality underground techno music.
