Gotham Music Group is the home of the labels Gotham Grooves, Gotham City Records and Para Disco. The labels were started in New York City and Barcelona and are run by ARA (aka Agent Orange), DJ Becka and Daniel Gavilán (aka Greencross).
Started on January 1, 2001 by Agent Orange (Ara Krikorian) & Deekron Krikorian, Gotham Grooves is a New York City-based, underground dance music label. It was founded by individuals that share a common passion for the music and that have traveled far and wide to learn about the music and the scene. One of our objectives in starting this label was to help fill the void for high-quality, respected Techno. By meeting this objective, we hope to motivate other labels to do the same. If there is enough high-quality, creative, and appreciated Techno tracks coming out, we can help put Techno back in people's minds and help make a come-back on the global Techno scene. If we can get others to believe in our music and to become inspired by this vision, we will have made a difference.
DJ/Producer Becka is pleased to present the launch of her new techno based label, Gotham City Recordings. Distributed globally EPM, it will be an online digital sub-division of NYCs already successful Gotham Grooves label.
Taking a slightly different approach, Gotham City Recordings will be about pushing a wide variety of styles ranging from glitchy minimal sounds, to the edgier sounds of techno.
Some of our collaboration have been with Marko Nastik, Agaric, Mark Verbos, Agent Orange, Greencross and ARA.
Para Disco was started in Barcelona in March of 2008 as a sub-label of the widely respected Gotham Grooves. Like Gotham Grooves, Para Disco was founded by veteran New York DJ/producer ARA (aka Agent Orange).
Para Disco releases high quality tech-house with an organic feel. Live instruments mixed with electronic instruments mixed with dancefloor grooves for the discos! We work hard to showcase world-class producers and remixers from all corners of the globe. The formula is simple but the results are powerful. Para Disco is bringing it back for the discos!
