Goosebumpz has become a driving force within the Australian electronic music scene and as a result, is a regular fixture at many reputable outdoor dance parties, festivals and club gigs nationwide. Capitalising on the bass music movement Down Under, Goosebumpz is well known for his extremely tight production, attention to detail and quirky, psychedelic sound design.
These days, he’s shifting air and inciting dance floor mayhem with a free-range exploration of broken-beat styles, where funky, playful glitch-hop and squelchy, psychedelic dubstep meets staunch mid-tempo breaks. Without being limited to any one particular defining sound or style of production, his music is broad, although often infused with organic instrumentation, combined with tough, textured bass work and emotive, synthesised melodic counterparts. His live performances are intelligently arranged yet still very interactive, with tasteful layering and effects, room for improvisation and seamless transitions between different tracks and musical styles, collectively creating new and exciting, danceable grooves.
Having played at many of Australia’s largest and most acclaimed music festivals including Splendour in the Grass, Strawberry Fields, Maitreya and Earth Frequency, in addition to supporting some of the biggest names in the business such as Bassnectar, The Crystal Method, Dirtyphonics and Tipper, Goosebumpz is a well respected producer within the Australian bass music community and festival circuit.
With releases thus far on Empathy, Adapted, Hopskotch and Enig’matik Records among other eminent labels, accompanied by an arsenal of fresh, phat, cheeky beats and an energetic approach to his live performances, Goosebumpz has made a definitive mark on the underground electronic music scene in Australia and has already begun to spread his eclectic style to other foreign shores around the globe.
