GMMAZ is a creative music education company. In short, we find funding to run high quality music making activities for young people. Our main funder is Youth Music.
We believe strongly in encouraging young people to find their own voice, whether literally through singing, spoken word and lyric writing or by picking up an instrument, and creating something original.
In the past (we are 10 years old this year!) we've run everything from single day workshops in schools, to huge projects involving young people from all over Greater Manchester lasting months, and culminating in large scale production performances.
We've helped young people to write music, and then perform it at such places as the Bridgewater Hall, the Lowry, Band On The Wall, Royal Northern College of Music, and Contact Theatre.
