Ambient Eternal Simply Ambient
Artwork by Harco Rutgers. Very first Gluid track. One night in a local bar i met Timon a friend of me. He studied at the art academy and in his opinion the artacademy was too much focused on the visual aspect of art. His plan was to record everyday's sounds and show them the beauty of audio by making music of it. Only he hadn't a musical background or equipment. So i said do it and i wanna make music out of it. The restrictions at that time we're simple and clear; only sounds recorded by microphones will be used.
This was the very first result of that. At that time i only got my equipment(akai s2000 sampler& an atari 1040st computer) for a few months and i just found out i could actually sample in stereo.
This was made more than 10 years ago and released on the first Gluid album in 2006 by escrec(www.escrec.com) the reason that it took that long was that i never expected anyone would listen and like this. I hope you enjoy it

@zenjungle: Thank you so much Phil! :))) Means a lot coming from you man, you're a brilliant musician/ producer!! This was the very 1st Gluid track ever, made with sounds recorded by microphones only (fieldrec.) in fact the whole 1st Gluid album was made with that restriction in mind..

@Inaiya: I love your comments Sel, you have such good ears!! This was the very 1st track i made as Gluid, constructed with sounds recorded by microphones only with indeed sounds of a wineglass, a reversed musicbox playing Swan lake and many, many more found objects. Thank you very much! :))

The use of found objects in the drums and other field recordings is superb, particularly when the rhythm gets going with the glassy textures floating around the mix. It has a kind of nostalgic sentimental feel to it.

very nice piece with enough detail to sustain interest. gentle, slightly melancholy.

The outside world seen seen through a window changed into a gigantic kaleidoscope. Peaceful, scintillating as clouds when the weather is unstable... I enjoy the way you install rhythmic parts, a slowly and seductive approach in the middle of organics and unpredictable elements. Beautiful.

The reverb and reversed tones are enchanting. When the beat comes in with those subtle stereophonic ticks...perfection!
