GIOM was born and raised in Niort, France. He now lives in London where, when he's not busy touring and recording with various artists such as Zarif, Kasabian or the Nextmen as a session drummer, he djs and produces Deep House music. Influenced by the likes of Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx and also the underground sound of Derrick Carter and DJ Sneak, Giom enters the House scene in 2006. Discovered by DJ Heather, his first tracks quickly gain the support of some of the world's biggest underground House Djs, with Mark Farina, Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak, The Lawnchair Generals, the Juan Mclean, Fred Everything and many others all supporting his music during their sets. Giom then releases remixes after remixes for some of the biggest names and labels in the scene (his remix of Vernon & Dacosta's "As Darkness Falls" on Amenti Music is arguably one of the biggest underground cuts of 2007), and his name quickly becomes synonymous of quality, his productions all getting to the top 10 of www.stompy.com. In June 2009, his "Blue Matter EP" (Ornate Music) hits the number 1 slot of www.junorecords.com top 100 and stays there for 2 weeks. As a DJ, he regularly plays in Europe as well as the USA, Canada, Australia, New-Zealand and Eastern Europe, and is a regular at London’s infamous Fabric nightclub. He has shared the bill with the likes of Mark Farina, DJ Sneak, Kenny Hawkes, Iz & Diz, Sasha, the Rurals, JT Donaldson and many many more. GIOM is also half of duo Bobby & Klein.
